Dhokpya Orthography Development

As a result of Dhokpya Stakholder meeting, Dhokpya Language Orthography development Workshop was held at HIS Nepal office with the coordination of Dhokpya Kiduk Society, from 18-21 April 2022. Participants were presented from Thudam, Pawakhola, Singbuk, Tatong, Dongen, Gofa Pokhari, and many more village. Dr. Netramani Dumi contributed his linguistics experties in order to develop the orthography of Dhokpya language for 4 days during the workshop. Similary, Chhing Chippa Lhomi facilited the Workshop. In the workshop, Dhokpya Community developed an orthography for their language and drafted a writing system of Dhokpya language as a first draft to be presented in the community and to collect their input, suggestion and advise. They also discussed and agreed that there will be a one day review and finalization workshop after the fiedl testing, collection of suggestion to finalize their orthography and promote the orthography and writing system widely in community level. Honorable, Mr Pasang Sherpa, former parliament member and chairperson of NEFIN expressed his gratitude and thankfulness to HIS Nepal for its financial and technical support, and thanked to all participants from thier community as well as congrate for the historic work and achievement for their langauge development. At the same time, he promised that he would help and contribute whatever he can for the development of Dhokpya langauge and no matter what situations go around him, he try to do his best for his langauge.
Dhokpya Stakholder Meeting
One day Stakholder workshop was organized among Dhokpya Language Community in Kathmandu, Kapan in order to discuss and plan of Dhokpya Language Development Strategy in 13 March 2022. Total 23 participants participated the meeting from different villages of Dhokpya community including Pasang Sherpa-former President of Nepal Federation of Indigenous Nationalities, parliment member of Nepal Government, Mingma Kami Sherpa- Advisory Board of Dhokpya Kiduk Society, Mingma Dandu Sherpa-Chairperson Dhokpya Kiduk Society and many more.

Nyinba Stakholder Meeting
A one day Nyinba stakeholder meeting was held in Boudha with 23 Nyinba community's participants in order to discuss for the preservation and development of Nyinba language. Participants joined from different villages of Simikot Rural Municipality such as Torpa, Buraunse, Langdu. The Nyinba Stakholders has decision of developing orthography of Nyinba langauge for the development of Nyinba langauge.
Bahing Orthography Promotion
Bahing Kirat Mulukhim with support of HIS Nepal has conducted 11 Bahing Orthography Promotion Classes in Solukhumbu, Okhaldhunga, Sunsari and Kathmandu from 2078-08-01 to 2078-09-30. From this OP promotion 345 Bahing people were directly benifited. Ms Karuna Bahing has facilitated those classes after receiving a training from HIS Nepal.
