Background and Heritage
Born into a minority Lhomi ethnic community in the Himalayas, Shangbu Bhote grew upwitnessing the challenges faced by marginalized groups, particularly in areas of education,Indigenous Issues and cultural preservation. These experiences shaped his commitment to serving his people and inspired him to become a bridge between traditional values and modern development.
Leadership in Himalayan Indigenous Society(HIS Nepal).
As a key leader of HIS Nepal, Shangbu has spearheaded initiatives aimed at revitalizing endangered languages and promoting intercultural understanding. Under his guidance, the organization has expanded its reach to provide educational resources, support sustainable livelihoods, and advocate for the rights of minority communities.
